REVERSE LOGISTICS

 


Reverse logistics is defined as movement of goods and services backward from the consumer end to a sooner stage of supply chain. The main objective is recycling and waste management. Reverse logistics plays a vital role in increasing efficiency of an organization, reduce different costs and increased competitiveness.

The weakness in the article include consideration of limited dimensions which include green procurement, reverse logistics, eco-design and legislation and regulatory practices. The sample size was limited and just focused on small medium enterprises (SME). The sample was relatively small compared to the constructs taken in the research.

Most of the studies ignored the relationship of constructs in this article creating a research gap. But still the current study is of major importance in so many ways as globalization and reduced obstacles in trade have forced organizations to have improved environmental, social and economic performance. The organization in order to succeed have to adopt changes rapidly.
