 The pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan has a growth trend on the increasing side. The Pakistani pharmaceutical industry consists of more than 700 manufacturing facilities which includes both local manufacturers and multi nationals. In the last decade the industry has shown a positive growth trend and had significant investment. The pharmaceutical industry of Pakistan has the capacity to produce diverse product portfolio. The Quarterly revenue of local pharmaceuticals of Pakistan is estimated to be Rs. 320 billion till march 2020 whereas the quarterly revenue of Multinational pharmaceutical in Pakistan Rs.143.2 billion. The pharmaceutical industry plays a major role in the economy of Pakistan as it contributes to around 10% to Pakistan’s GDP.
