Eco design
Eco-design, also refers to as green creation or environmental design, this action occurs or takes place primarily at the time of initial development of the product having as set objective to eliminate or reduce the negative effects of product making on environment throughout its entire product life cycle from the time its material being procured to its manufacturing and use and at the final stage when its disposed of but not letting compromise the other important criteria such as its cost and performance. At the product design stage, eco-design is a vital success factor in a GSCM approach for identifying a product's environmental impact.
Eco-design practices can be divided into two categories: product-related design and packaging-related design. As a result, the scope of eco-design in this study will include both product design and package design.
According to Organizations and their suppliers should work together to ensure that their products are packaged in green packaging that is both reusable and recyclable. Other studies have identified elements of green design when developing products, such as ensuring that the products have green packaging to reduce waste.
