Green distribution is a key activity that has an impact on a green supply chain's performance. All activities aimed at reducing environmental harm and waste during shipment are referred to the green distribution . Amount of gasoline being used by the vehicle conveying the product, the frequency of transportation operations, the distance to customers, and the characteristics of the packaging (weight, shape, and material) all have an impact on the performance of green distribution.

Green distribution aims to reduce the negative effects of distribution on the environment. Green distribution reduces fuel usage, optimizes distribution routes, and ensures that containers are completely loaded, all of which help to improve environmental performance.
