Despite the fact that businesses' primary motivation and goal is to maximize profit, nowadays the new developing and emerging organizations have shifted their core focus and interests towards paying attention to eco-friendly operations and their impact on environment. The theme of “Planet” focuses on the environmental impact of the company's activities, including raw material selection, process innovation, alternative product distribution methods, and how finished goods are disposed of. The term " profit" refers to the financial returns that a firm receives from its investment. . Environmental issues such as rapid resource depletion, pollution, global warming, and a loss of biological diversity led the ecological balance to deteriorate. The fact that these ecological problems are constantly worsening pushes governments, communities, businesses, and individuals to adopt environmental safeguards. GSCM implementation has several environmental benefits, including reduced waste production, reduced in the consumption of energy, reduced use of materials which are hazardous, increased reuse and recycling of materials, and reduced carbon emissions. Increased consumer happiness, improved business image, expanded market share, and increased customer social responsibility are examples of non-environmental advantages. Aside from environmental benefits, cost savings is the most crucial and immediate benefit for the firm. Green innovation will reduce operational costs in the manufacturing and construction sectors if it is implemented widely and effectively.
